Incontrol Enterprise Dynamics–Showflow
Stephen Webb (Webb Systems Ltd.)

Abstract:
ShowFlow is the software product designed to model, simulate, animate and analyze processes in commerce, logistics, manufacturing and materials handling. ShowFlow was developed from the renowned Taylor II system. ShowFlow 2, released in March 2005, contains many interesting features: screen resolutions beyond 1024x768 now supported in all visualization modes; model files are associated with ShowFlow and can be opened by clicking on them; long file names are supported; completely redesigned and many more speed bar buttons; extensively revised help file with many more hints and tips. If you want to introduce simulation into your organization and are looking for a low-budget powerful simulator, visit our product presentation - we will demonstrate the potential of ShowFlow with a number of reference projects.

Palisade Corporation
Abigail Holley (Palisade Corporation)

Abstract:
Using data for your advantage. Palisade Corporation, the leader in analysis and simulation software tools, is pleased to announce the release of NeuralTools, the Neural Networks add-in for Microsoft Excel. NeuralTools has a broad range of applications where sets of data can be used to predict future outcomes. In this session, attendees will discover how to analyze and use existing data to solve problems and identify opportunities. This seminar will include the use of NeuralTools in prediction applications. Statistical analysis with Palisade’s StatTools and analysis under uncertainty using @RISK will also be covered.

Rockwell Software-Arena Introduction
Vivek Bapat (Rockwell Software)

Abstract:
Specifically designed for newcomers to simulation, this session introduces basic modeling concepts, features, animation and scenario management, and comprehensive simulation project management. Demonstrations include basic applications in the manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, defense, healthcare, call center and business process scenarios.

XJ Technologies-AnyLogic 6
Andrei Borshchev (Borshchev)

Abstract:
XJ Technologies presents AnyLogic version 6, the major step forward in simulation technology. While inheriting all recognized features of AnyLogic 5 (multi-paradigm modeling with system dynamics, discrete event and agent based approaches, object-orientedness and open architecture), version 6 is totally Java solution based on IBM Eclipse technology. It has a much more intuitive user interface with a lot of services speeding up the model development and offers even more flexibility for developing custom solutions and toolkits in various application areas.

Tuesday 8:30:00 AM 10:00:00 AM
Promodel Corp. and Automation Associates Inc.

Chair: ()

ProModel Corporation
Carl Napoletano (ProModel Corporation)

Abstract:
Over 90% of all projects are late and over budget! Why? Because when developing plans, traditional methods don’t account for variability in processes and complex interdependencies combined with resource contention. ProModel Project Simulator is a Microsoft Project plug-in that enables planners to incorporate these factors into their project plans. Want more? Roll up projects and predict the impacts of resource contention on portfolio performance using Portfolio Simulator.

Automation Associates, Inc.-TMS
Rainer Dronzek (Automation Associates, Inc.)

Abstract:
Automation Associates applies its Modeling Studio technology to industries such as transportation, manufacturing, healthcare and food service. This session will highlight the Transportation Modeling Studio (TMS) and its use with a variety of simulation applications. Global supply chain case studies will include ports, rail and distribution centers.

Incontrol Enterprise Dynamics–Airport/Rail Solutions
Fred Jansma (Incontrol Enterprise Dynamics)

Abstract:
Airports, airlines and railway operators around the world use Enterprise Dynamics to model, simulate and visualize their operations. With dedicated solutions such as Samanta, Simone, Friso and Plato it is possible to simulate each process within an airport or the railways: SAMANTA-the most complete simulation solution for modeling baggage handling, passenger flow, scheduling security and check-in, traffic simulation; Simone- railway simulator developed together with Dutch Railways, application tests timetables for robustness; Friso-optimizing hump yard operations; Plato-simulating passenger flows on train stations. During this presentation the power of these dedicated simulation solutions will be demonstrated.

Incontrol Enterprise Dynamics–Production/Logistics Solutions
Fred Jansma (Incontrol Enterprise Dynamics)

Abstract:
Production and logistics is probably the biggest simulation market today. The Enterprise Dynamics Logistics Suite is the “ready to use” simulation solution to model, simulate, visualize and control your production line or warehouse. The easy-to-use building blocks allow you to minimize the time spent on modeling and simulating new facilities and future changes in the design of existing factories. In this vendor track we will show: automatic model generation; production line simulation, emulation and control. Are you ready to enter the digital future?

Tuesday 1:30:00 PM 3:00:00 PM
Rockwell Software and Brooks Automation

Chair: ()

Rockwell Software-Arena Advanced
Vivek Bapat (Rockwell Software)

Abstract:
Designed for experienced simulation practitioners, this session surveys several new concepts and advanced features in Arena. Demonstrations include advanced applications in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, defense, healthcare, call center and business process scenarios.

Brooks Automation
Barbara Culhane (Brooks Automation)

Abstract:
Decision making in industry has become more complicated in recent years. Customers are more demanding, competition is more fierce, and costs for labor and raw materials continue to rise. Managers need state-of-the-art tools to help in planning, design, and operations of their facilities. Simulation provides a virtual factory where ideas can be tested and performance improved. The AutoMod product suite from Brooks Automation has been used on thousands of projects to help engineers and managers make the best decisions possible. Come see the latest AutoMod release of one of the most widely used simulation software packages.
